Beijing Capital Commence Routes to Lisbon and Macau

Beijing Capital Airlines have started two new routes to Lisbon and Macau. The airline will fly its A319s to Macau from Beijing. The route will be operated 4 times a week. This route is already served by Air Macau. On the same day, the airline then started its route to Lisbon from Hangzhou, via Beijing. The route will run three times a day with an Airbus A330-200.
EasyJet start 2 new routes from Manchester

EasyJet have launched two routes from Manchester which are Granada and Dubrovnik. Both routes will be served twice a week. The routes will be operated with a mix of A319s ans A320s.
Indigo Connect Doha with Chennai and Kozhikode

The Indian Airline will fly daily in both routes with their A320s. Both routes face competition by Qatar Airways, Air India Express and Jet Airways. Indigo now fly from 4 destinations to Doha.
Alaska Join Minneapolis with San Francisco

Qatar Airways Open New Route to Skopje

Qatar Airways have begun a new route from Doha to Skopje. The flight will run 4 times a week with Qatar's A320 fleet. No other airline connects these two routes, which means Qatar Airways face no competition. Neither Etihad nor Emirates fly to Skopje, but FlyDubai do offer flights to the capital of Macedonia.
JetBlue Expand Mint Service

Jet Blue have expanded their Mint Service by 6 routes. Seattle-Boston, Seattle-JFK, Las Vegas-JFK, San Diego-Boston, San Diego-JFK and Boston-St Maarten. With these additional routes, JetBlue Mint will be available in 19 routes.
Turkish Airlines launch 300th destination

Turkish have commenced a direct route from Istanbul to Phuket, which is their 300th destination. The flight will run 4 times a week with a mix of Boeing 777s and A330s. The flight faces no competition.
Qatar Airways resume flights to Nice

Qatar Airways return to Nice after cancelling the route in May 2013. The route will be served 5 times a week with the Boeing 787. The route faces no competition, but Emirates do fly from Dubai to Nice daily with an Airbus A380.
Aeroflot Return to Lisbon

Aeroflot have resumed flights from Moscow Sheremetyevo to Lisbon, after cancelling flights to the Portuguese capital 14 years ago. The flight will be operated 3 times a week with a Boeing 737-800. The flag carrier faces competition from Ural Airlines and TAP, which fly from Moscow Domodedovo.
Boeing Share a Glimpse of the 797

The Paris Air Show received a glimpse of the new medium-range jet, the Boeing 797. It is expected that the plane will start flying by 2025, and that in the next 20 years after entering service, it will sell 4000 aircrafts. The 797 will seat between 220 and 270 passenger and will be able to fly for 5200 nautical miles. Boeing have talked with 57 potential customers. Indian airline SpiceJet have said that they are interested in the 797 to reduce congestion in airports and open new routes in SouthEast Asia.
WOW Air Begin Route to Chicago

The low-cost airline WOW Air have begun a route from Reykjavik to Chicago. The flight will be operated with an Airbus A321 and will fly 4 times a week. The airline does face competition from the flag carrier of Iceland, Iceland Air. This is WOW Air's 8th destination in the US.
Eurowings Start 4 New Long-haul Flights

Eurowings have commenced four new long-haul flights with the Airbus A330 from Cologne-Bonn. The first route that was opened was to Montego Bay, Jamaica. The flight will be operated on Mondays and Fridays. The second route that started was to Orlando, which will be served on Wednesdays and Fridays. Seattle was the third route opened which will operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Lastly, Eurowings commenced a new African route to the capital of Namibia, Windhoek which will be served twice per week.
FlyBe Start Two New Routes

FlyBe added two new routes from the UK. On the 10th of July, FlyBe opened a new route between Birmingham and Hamburg. The route will be served 4 times a week with a Bombardier Q400. On the 7th of July, Flybe started flying from Doncaster to Palma de Mallorca. The flight will be operated on Mondays and Fridays, with an Embraer E-175. The route faces competition from Thomson and Thomas Cook.

LOT Connect Krakow with Chicago

LOT Polish Airlines have opened a new flight between Krakow and Chicago. The route was cancelled in 2010, when LOT operated this flight with a 767.
